Wisconsin's Best Bloody Mary Fest to be held in person on Sept. 18

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) --- The in-person search for Wisconsin's Best Bloody Mary will be in Madison on Sept. 18 at Yahara Bay Distillers.

Attendees will try over 20 different Bloody Marys made by Wisconsin restaurants and bars.

The festival will provide more Bloody Mary options by partnering with The Drunken Tomato Awards to offer samples from different Bloody Mary Mixes currently found in stores, officials say. There will also be locally brewed beer, because no Bloody Mary is complete without a backer.

Organizer Gregg Potter says, “We couldn’t be happier to get the festival back in person. It always feels like a reunion with 1000 of your best friends. The addition of The Drunken Tomato Awards is really going to elevate the experience.”

The day begins with judging and premium ticket entrance at 10 a.m. and general admission entrance at 12 p.m. The festival ends at 4 p.m.

Early Bird prices have been extended until July 19. Premium tickets are limited, which are $70 until the July 19 cutoff. Premium tickets include two extra hours of Bloody Marys, catered lunch, an official t-shirt, access to both indoor and outdoor lounges with specialty beer, and Slide Gourmet Potato Chips. General admission tickets are $50 until July 19 and include unlimited Bloody Marys and beer.
