MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- National Dairy Month is observed every June to honor the dairy industry's contributions to local communities and the state.
Wisconsin's 75th "Alice in Dairyland," Taylor Schaefer, joined us on Friday, June 23 to discuss National Dairy Month and its significance.
Schaefer shared insights into why National Dairy Month is vital for Wisconsin, noting that 95% of the state's dairy farms are family-owned and dedicated to producing nutritious products. She also emphasized the importance of choosing real Wisconsin dairy throughout the year, as dairy foods provide essential nutrients and support health and wellness.
She also suggested ways to celebrate National Dairy Month, including attending local dairy breakfasts or community events.
