Wisconsin Travelers Prepare for Tighter Security When Traveling
Wisconsin travelers are bracing for the impact of the State Department's travel alert. It’s in response to recent threats made by terrorists groups right at the peak time for holiday travel.
So what does that mean for people driving and flying in and out of Wisconsin.

The State Department travel alert asked people to be vigilant in public places and while using transportation especially during the holidays because elevated risk of attacks. They said you need to prepare for more security screen and possible disruptions.
Much of that focuses on air travel people need to be aware and ready for longer security lines. That could mean more searches too.
Some travelers said it's part of the territory and something they've become used to over the past decade
The Wisconsin DOT will suspend work on its major projects starting tomorrow at noon running until Monday morning.
