Wisconsin State Patrol officer struck by vehicle during traffic stop; has non-life-threatening injuries

BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A State Trooper suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a commercial motor vehicle along I-94 near Black River Falls.

Reports say that after 12:00 a.m. today, on July 27, the trooper was conducting a traffic stop, and while inside his vehicle, a semi tractor-trailer lost control and struck him while inside his vehicle. The driver that was pulled over was also struck.

The driver of the commercial motor vehicle and the driver that was pulled over were not injured.

The crash is under investigation.
