Wisconsin State Fair 2014: Get Ready for a "Fair" Amount of Eating

(West Allis)--Ever since 1851, we've come to expect it. It's a summer rite of passage. The annual Wisconsin State Fair. This year is no exception.

There's so much food, music, rides, and fun for everyone. 72 new edible treats have been added to the staples we've come to know and expect, including a bison burger and turkey donuts.

The 11-day event started on Thursday, July 31st. At times, the midway was packed with people. Beside all the food, the sweet sounds of so much musical talent will fill the air, including Peter Frampton and Aretha Franklin.

There's a ride section as well, including the new Rocket. It doesn't seem to be for the faint hearted.

And next week, there will be livestock shows and auctions.
