MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- While your college basketball brackets may have already been busted, another fun way to get into the bracket action is underway, and this one include another of Wisconsin's favorite pastimes.
Wisconsin’s Alice in Dairyland, Ashley Hagenow, joined us on Tuesday, March 26 to discuss the ongoing Wisconsin Artisan Cheese Bracket, a way for cheese fans to participate with the state’s dairy heritage during March Madness.
With Wisconsin producing roughly 25% of the world’s specialty cheese and more than any other state in the U.S., the bracket aims to spotlight over 600 varieties of cheese made by nearly 1,200 licensed cheesemakers across the state.
Fans have been able to vote for their favorite cheeses, including contenders like Havarti and Gorgonzola, through Hagenow’s social media channels. Colby Jack and Cheese Curds are facing off in the final, so check Ashley's pages to make your voice heard.
