Wisconsin National Guard Troops Arrive Home

WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- About 150 soldiers in the Wisconsin Army National Guard were welcomed home tonight, on April 16, from Eastern Europe.

Governor Evers was among those in attendance this afternoon at Volk Field in Camp Douglas. The troops returned earlier this week in Texas, after 11 months of serving in support of "Operation Atlantic Resolve".

The unit conducted vehicle maintenance and recovery support.

"It feels like forever, she's grown up quite a bit since I've been gone so it's really great," said Lt. Jason Brasch.

Many of the troops there also served in support of the state's COVID response in 2020.
