Wisconsin Humane Society welcomes 33 cats evacuated from Florida
SOUTHEAST WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin Humane Society welcomed 33 cats on Saturday. The cats were evacuated from Florida in preparation for Hurricane Dorian.
The cats were previously in a shelter in Florida, searching for homes. Their departure helped ensure that the shelter will be better prepared to support any pets displaced by the storm.
Some of the cats rescued are now available for adoptions. Others still need more treatment and care before they're ready.
Here are ways that you can help the Wisconsin Humane Society:
1.) Donate to help offset the cost for medical treatments, daily care, and fostering expenses.
2.) Foster a cat.
3.) Adopt a pet from Wisconsin Humane Society to make room for more animals who have nowhere else to turn.
