Wisconsin homeschooling expo coming to Waukesha in August

WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A homeschooling expo aimed at Wisconsin families is coming to the Waukesha Expo Center on Sunday, Aug. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Elyse Scheeler, a certified speech-language pathologist and organizer of the Speaking Life Into Homeschool Expo, joined us Wednesday, July 29 to preview the event.

The expo features vendors, curriculum, therapy tools and local agencies, along with sessions from speakers on homeschool methods, learning differences, child development and advocacy. Kids activities and food vendors will also be on site.

Organizers say the event is open to families at any stage, including those simply curious about homeschooling. Tickets are $15, with children 17 and under free and a $40 family pass available.
