Wisconsin Herd announces 2023-24 theme jerseys, including increasing homelessness awareness and women's empowerment

OSHKOSH, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin Herd, entering their sixth season as the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, announced a promotional schedule packed with 13 giveaways and seven theme jerseys for the 2023-24 season.

The team's season tips off on Thursday, Nov. 16, featuring a variety of events aimed at raising awareness for worthy causes while also entertaining fans.

Key events include seven theme jersey nights, offering the team a unique look for various causes. The team's jerseys will highlight issues such as homelessness on Nov. 21 and suicide prevention in December. Other events include the celebration of Women's History Month with "Wisconsin HER" jerseys on Mar. 2 and Black History Month jerseys in February. To kick off National Green Week, Feb. 1 will see the Herd wearing jerseys presented by Winnebago County Solid Waste.

Additional theme nights include the Annual School Day game with a lunchbox giveaway on Jan. 17 and Marvel Superhero Night featuring Captain America-inspired jerseys on Mar. 16.
