Oconomowoc (CBS 58)--The dog days of summer plan on coming a little early at least for the Harley dealership in Oconomowoc. Saturday marks the fifth annual Wiener Dog Derby at Wisconsin H-D.
Hundreds of dachshunds and their owners are expected to take part in races or a costume contest or both. There are five different racing categories dependent on age and three with the different costumes, including cutest, best biker inspired, or most creative.
This year, the derby will be pair with the annual Dog Days held here at this particular Harley dealership. There will be cool swag bags, live dog friendly entertainment, various vendors, and even a beer garden. It’s recommended to pre-register for the Derby event itself. Click here to do so.
