Wisconsin drinking water on its way to Texas

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Fresh drinking water is on its way from Wisconsin to Texas. Century Springs -- Milwaukee's leading home and office water delivery -- announced Tuesday, March 2, they sent a truck load of drinking water to Austin to help those impacted by last month's winter storms.

According to a news release from Century Springs, Boss Babes ATX, a 501c3 nonprofit that helps small businesses in the Austin area, is coordinating water distribution to Austin residents who are in desperate need. Boss Babes connected Century Springs with Operation WaterWeight/Austin Needs Water and now an entire semi-truck load of 35,000 bottles of water is headed from Wauwatosa straight to Austin.

“We know that our simple truckload can’t solve the water problem, but we hope it provides clean, safe drinking water to families in need in the Austin community,” said Colleen Mayberry, Director of Marketing for Century Springs.
