Wisconsin Badgers' home opener will be a Friday night game

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin Badgers will kick off their delayed football season not on a Saturday, but on a Friday night -- Oct. 23. 

The Badgers will host Illinois at an empty Camp Randall Stadium. This is a rematch of a last-second Wisconsin loss last year at Illinois.

Wisconsin will play a shortened, conference-only schedule this year: Nine games total through Dec. 19.
