Winter Storm Update and Q&A with CBS 58's Chief Meteorologist

The snow will continue into the early afternoon. Many locations have already picked up over an inch of slushy snow and it continues to fall. After 2 pm the snow will likely transition into more sleet. Warm air will move in aloft to transition the precipitation back and forth between snow and sleet for the afternoon. In general 2 to 4 inches of snow and sleet are expected across the area with higher totals to the northwest.
Sleet will likely dominate the evening commute across southeastern Wisconsin. Roads will continue to deteriorate with surface temperatures holding in the upper 20s and lower 30s A transition back to snow will occur after 9 pm. Those snow showers will end around 2 am.
