Winter parking regulations begin in Milwaukee on Dec. 1
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Residents of the City of Milwaukee must prepare for winter parking regulations that go into effect Friday, Dec. 1 through March 1, 2024. These regulations include specific restrictions to facilitate effective snow removal and street maintenance during winter months.
Key restrictions involve no parking on through highways and bus routes from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m., with a detailed map of these streets available here. Regular rules requiring a valid overnight permit or temporary permission for overnight parking remain in effect throughout the winter regulation period.
During declared snow emergencies, vehicles must adhere to alternate side parking citywide between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., except on through highways and bus routes. Violations during snow emergencies can result in fines ranging from $50 to $150, and vehicles could be towed.
