WILMOT, Wis. (CBS 58) – Could you find love on a chairlift?
Wilmot Mountain is holding a chairlift speed dating event on Sunday.
“It’s just before Valentine’s Day… so we thought we would see if we could make some love matches at Wilmot Mountain,” Marketing manager Rachael Muhlenbeck said.
A matchmaking service will pair compatible participants in their preferred age category and then the two will take a three minute chairlift ride up the mountain. If the match gets along, they can spend the rest of the day together. If not, you can get back on the chairlift to meet a new match. Muhlenbeck said it’s different from a typical speed dating situation and the people involved will already have one thing in common.
“You know you enjoy winter sports, you know you are an active adventure seeker and you enjoy skiing or snowboarding,” she said. “So you’ve already made one connection there.”
The event is open to people aged between 21-70. It costs $58 for non-passholders which includes the lift ticket. The event begins at 3 p.m.
Muhlenbeck said people who don’t ski or snowboard can also participate in the event for $10.
More information and registration forms can be found on the Wilmot Mountain website.
