DELAFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The wife of a beloved pediatrician who was hit by a car while riding his bike is working to make the streets safer.
Brian Yagoda died after he was hit on Golf Road in Delafield last summer.
His widow, Shirley, has donated $70,000 to fix the road where Brian was hit.
The money would be used to pave over the gravel shoulders, making it safer for bicyclists.
"If the shoulder was paved, my husband would have been further away from him, and he probably would still be here today," Shirley said.
The Waukesha County Board still needs to approve the donation.
They're expected to discuss it on Tuesday.
