Whitewater Police called out to Main Street for horses on the loose

WHITEWATER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Three horses are safe after roaming around Main Street on Friday.

According to Whitewater Police, a caller reported that there were three unaccompanied horses loose.

Whitewater Police responded to the scene and along with assistance from the community and other horse owners, the animals were safely returned home.

There were no injuries or property damage reported.

Whitewater Police are calling it "a first in perhaps many, many decades."
