Milwaukee County Courts WEST MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A West Milwaukee man charged with killing his mom with a baseball bat entered a not guilty plea in court Tuesday, March 10.
Hayward Jenkins is charged with first degree intentional homicide.
He waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over for trial.
Last week his mom, Cheryl Jenkins, was found dead.
Police say Cheryl Jenkins was found with a bloody baseball bat and severe head injuries.
Jenkins reportedly told police he was fighting with his mom over money and hit her thinking she was going to attack him with scissors.
Jenkins is back in court next month.
