West Bend Teenagers Arrested after Hanging "Bloody Shirt" on Sign and Wearing Clown Masks

West Bend Police were called to a park for two West Bend teenagers and a Cedarburg teenager that were making a Snapchat video about the clown craze.

According to West Bend Police, the incident happened on Friday at 11:55 PM.

An 18 year old Hartford female reported that she was in the area of Park Ave at N. 12th Ave., and observed a bloody shirt hanging from the exit sign for Regner Park.

According to the police, she claimed she saw a person wearing a clown mask standing in the wooded area nearby which frightened her.

Responding officers found only the shirt which had fake blood on it. Further investigation revealed that a 19 year old West Bend male, an 18 year old West Bend male and a 19 year old Cedarburg male had placed the shirt in Regner Park and one of them wore a clown mask while making a Snapchat video as part of the “clown craze.”

The three males told police left the shirt on the exit sign as they said they thought it would be funny.

All three males were arrested for Disorderly Conduct and for being In the Park After Closing Hours. The 19 year old West Bend male was also issued a citation for Underage Person Consuming Alcohol.
