West Bend police arrest semi driver for OWI after finding open alcohol in cab of truck

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police say a Georgia man was arrested in West Bend after driving a semi while intoxicated.

It happened around 5:07 p.m on Sept. 23. 

Authorities say the 56-year-old man struck a traffic signal at W. Paradise Dr. and the northbound on ramp to US Hwy 45 and continued traveling northbound. 

West Bend officers determined that the man was intoxicated, and discovered an open container of alcohol in the cab of his truck.

He was arrested for OWI, open intoxicants in a vehicle, and hit and run.
