West Bend PD: Man arrested for attempted homicide after attacking wife with baseball bat

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police say a 47-year-old man was arrested for attempted homicide on Tuesday, Dec. 10.

According to the West Bend Police Department, the man showed up at the station around 10:25 a.m. and said he'd assaulted his wife and needed an ambulance.

Officers located the woman at their home with serious injuries to her arms and head.

Investigators say the couple had been arguing when the man struck his wife several times with a baseball bat, trying to kill her. 

The victim was taken to Froedtert Hospital and is said to be in stable condition.
