West Bend historic sites to offer free admission this weekend

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Three historic sites in West Bend will be open and free to visit this weekend.

It includes the courthouse, jailhouse, and the Rectory of the Old Saint Agnes Convent.

Each building dates back to the 1800s.

The Washington County Historical Society is hosting the event called "Free Weekend" as a way of saying thank you for the community's support.

"This area was developed as land speculation. Used hard work and entrepreneurial spirit to carve out this wonderful community," Steve Stuckey, executive director of the Washington County Historical Society, said.
