West Allis Police searching for suspects who stole 5 cars from used car lot

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The West Allis Police Department is currently searching for the suspects who broke into a used car lot and stole five cars and a handgun.

It happened sometime between 5 p.m. May 4 and 4 a.m. May 6.

Wauwatosa Police contacted West Allis Police around 4 a.m. on Monday to report that they had found a 2015 GMC Terrain which had appeared to be stolen from Corner Choice Motors. 

West Allis Police responded to Corner Choice Motors, located near 92nd and Oklahoma, and found a smashed-out window and several cars missing inside.

The missing cars have been identified as the 2015 GMC Terrain, a 2010 Mercedes, a 2012 Kia Optima, a 2005 Lexus, and a 2010 Honda Civic.

Police also determined that a handgun, laptop, keys to other vehicles, and dealer license plates were stolen.

The search for suspects continues.
