WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The West Allis Police Department is looking for the driver who hit a 73-year-old pedestrian and took off.
It happened around 11:20 p.m. on April 26 near 58th and Mitchell.
West Allis Police were initially called to the area for a report of someone down in the roadway.
The investigation revealed that a vehicle driving eastbound on Mitchell had hit a 73-year-old pedestrian and left the scene.
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The suspect's vehicle is believed to be a light-colored sedan, possibly a silver two-door with chrome wheels. The vehicle should have damage to the front passenger side.
Police believe the vehicle is either a 2001-2005 Dodge Stratus Coupe or a 2000-2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse.
