West Allis man, 36, killed in Caledonia crash

CALEDONIA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 36-year-old West Allis man has died following a crash in the Village of Caledonia Tuesday, April 9. 

It happened just after 7:45 a.m. near State Highway 38 and Emmertsen Road. 

Police say according to a preliminary investigation, a PT Cruiser driving westbound on Highway 38 attempted to turn left to go southbound on Emmertsen Road when it collided with a Hyundai Tucson traveling eastbound on Highway 38. 

The Tucson rolled over and struck a pole before coming to rest in an upright position. 

Officials say the driver of the Tucson passed away at the scene of the crash. 

The driver of the PT Cruiser, an 18-year-old woman from Racine, remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Police say she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
