West Allis is now better prepared to save pets caught in a house fire.
The Fire Department showed CBS 58 News its new pet oxygen masks.
There are three different sizes to help resuscitate animals on the scene.
"Invisible Fence" contacted the department and donated the masks.
The company usually installs underground fences, but has a new program called "Project Breathe" to help give pet masks to fire departments.
"A lot of people in our community feel their pets are family members," explained Lt. Steven Kaltenbrun of the West Allis Fire Department. "So, if we can help them and help their pets, we can make a bad situation into a little less bad situation."
The fire department has a total of nine masks that are kept on their front line trucks.
