Weird laws in each state ranked, Wisconsin is 9th

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Every state has one: a law that defies logic, explanation, or even practicality. Americans across the nation ranked the weirdest law from each state to see which law could claim the title of oddest nationwide.

Wisconsin ranked #9 in the country with this legal marvel: Butter substitutes are banned without permission in public.

New York took the crown for the weirdest law in the land: slippers are banned after 10 p.m. in the Empire State. While silly, this could have consequences: nearly 1 in 4 Americans would be deterred from living in a state due to weird laws.
