FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Wehr Nature Center announced a donation campaign focused on education and trail improvements as part of its mission to promote access and inclusion.
Jessica Del Toro, representing the Friends of Wehr, joined us on Tuesday, Nov. 19 to talk about the progress.
The fundraising effort, running from Tuesday, Nov. 26, to Tuesday, Dec. 10, aims to raise $8,000 to support education programs for students from kindergarten to college and trail accessibility projects. Donors can designate their contributions toward initiatives such as student programming, transportation or trail improvements like expanded boardwalks and signage.
Del Toro also highlighted new digital changes, particularly the Wehr Nature Center and Friends of Wehr websites now being available in Spanish, marking a step forward in accessibility.
