WE Energies: Power could be fully restored by Wednesday night

MILWAUKEE- Thousands were without power Tuesday after storms caused massive damage over night.

We Energies said at their peak, there was about 115,000 customers without power.

They hope to have the majority of people back on by Tuesday evening but CBS 58 was told it will not be until Wednesday night before everyone has power back.

We Energies added that they haven't seen this many people out since 2005.

Most of the damage was caused by tree limbs on power lines.

Hundreds of poles will need to be fully replaced and many more repaired.

CBS 58 was on scene near 41st and Concordia while a pole was being repaired.

We Energies explained that teams will work in shifts until power is completely restored.
