We Energies outage map showed more than 6,000 without power in South Milwaukee

UPDATE on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 7:37 p.m.: We Energies said that nearly all customers have had their power restored and crews are working to get the lights on for everyone else impacted by this outage.
SOUTH MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- We Energies crews are responding to a pretty substantial power outage in South Milwaukee on Saturday, Dec. 9.
The utility outage map showed more than 6,000 customers without power around 4:00 p.m.
South Milwaukee police tell us they are at 3rd and Montana, keeping people away from a transformer.
We Energies said they have numerous crews on scene, and they believed they've isolated an equipment issue.
We Energies said they are working safely to get the power back on as quickly as possible for all customers.
