We Energies Falcon cams are back

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- With nesting season just around the corner, the We Energies’ peregrine falcon cams are back!

Visit the We Energies website at we-energies.com/falcons to view the live video 24/7. There are nest boxes at five We Energies and Wisconsin Public Service facilities from Green Bay to Oak Creek:

•Valley Power Plant in Milwaukee
•Port Washington Generating Station
•Oak Creek Power Plant
•Weston Power Plant in Rothschild
•WPS Building in Green Bay

We Energies says they are already they are already seeing activity and the first eggs should be laid next month. 

Last spring, 17 falcon chicks were produced, named and banded at We Energies power plants. Since the company’s first successful nest box in 1997, 273 peregrine falcons have hatched at We Energies facilities. The DNR added peregrine falcons to Wisconsin’s endangered species list in the 1970s.
