WCSO investigates fatal crash in Kewaskum

KEWASKUM, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Washington County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal crash that happened Sunday, Feb. 6 in Kewaskum.

It happened around 5:53 p.m. near Salisbury Rd south and Cty Hwy H, according to the sheriff's office.


A driver found the vehicle on the side of the roadway, against a tree but did not witness the crash.

A 30-year-old Washington County man was the only occupant of the vehicle. He was taken to Froedtert West Bend by Kewaskum Rescue and was pronounced dead a short time later.

Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and fire and rescue from the Kewaskum Fire Department responded to the scene. Upon first responders arrival, the driver was still non-responsive in the vehicle. First responders were able to remove the driver from the vehicle and life-saving efforts were attempted. 

The sheriff’s office crash reconstruction unit was requested to the scene. The crash is still under investigation. Road conditions are not believed to have been a factor.
