WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Wauwatosa Police Department is reviewing additional video that captured an arrest at Mayfair Mall.

Police say their responding officer attempted to speak with the male suspect who refused to stop. Police say that the suspect then began to physically fight with the officer. Police released new video which they say shows more interaction between the suspect and the officer than the cell phone video being circulated online shows. 

In a release issued, Wauwatosa Police say that they have begun their "use of force" review of the incident. They will be reviewing video footage of the incident, witness statements, and additional interviews.

Wauwatosa Police will release additional information as it becomes available.

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 17-year-old man was arrested and cited for disorderly conduct, battery, and resisting an officer on Friday afternoon. It was all caught on cell phone video which is starting to go viral on social media.

Wauwatosa Police initially received a call from Mayfair Mall regarding 5 men inside the mall "acting disorderly and causing a disturbance" around 4:30 p.m.

Officers located several of the suspects in the parking lot of the mall and attempted to speak to them.

What happened next was caught on cell phone video. In a release, Wauwatosa Police stated: "We have been made aware of a video that is circulating on social media related to this incident. This video shows only a small segment of the interaction between the suspect and the officer."

According to police, an additional video shows the officer attempting to speak with the man who allegedly refused to stop and speak with the officer. Police say that the suspect then began to physically fight with the officer who was attempting to "legally detain the suspect."

Wauwatosa Police Chief Weber released the following statement, "I can assure you that we take all situations seriously when they involve a use of force by our officers. We thoroughly review all incidents in which force is used by an officer and will do so in this incident, as well."
