WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 37-year-old Waukesha man's trial wrapped up on Friday.
Justin Carl was convicted for the murder of Kevin Hueman in 2015.
Carl was connected to the shooting after one of his shoes was found at the murder scene.
In court, Hueman's wife struggled with her emotions as she talked about how the murder turned her family's life upside down.
"Mr. Carl took Wyatt's daddy away from him when he was just 6-months-old. He was a great dad. I've never seen a man so proud as Kevin was of our son."
Justin Carl will now spend life in prison.
