Waukesha County Airport celebrating completed renovations

A big celebration at the Waukesha County Airport Monday afternoon!

They showed off their new executive terminal renovation. There is a new lobby, conference room, and pilot lounge.

The county partnered with Atlantic Aviation for the renovations. Officials say this is the perfect tiem to grow the airport.

"It's a great opportunity to give people an impression of Waukesha County as they walk in," said Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow.

"Growing this airport to the greater Milwaukee area is really what it is, and bringing new business and a new life to this airport which it really needs. It's going to be very exciting with the US Open coming up next week to showcase our facility and what we do here in Waukesha," said Nick Read with Atlantic Aviation.

Atlantic Aviation also broke ground on a new hangar today at the Waukesha County Airport which is the busiest general aviation airport in the state of Wisconsin.
