Waukesha-area chefs participate in 'Unwrapped fundraiser' to support SHARP Literacy
MILWAUKEE (January 26, 2022) – As SHARP Literacy begins the spring semester with a full schedule of educational programming, four of Waukesha-area restaurants are stepping up to support the first annual Waukesha edition of the charity’s annual Unwrapped fundraiser.
During the “Unwrapped Waukesha Edition” fundraiser, four local chefs will be challenged to create tasty gourmet bites using ingredients from McDonalds, Terrapin Coffee Oatmeal Stout, a few of their favorite ingredients, and a variety of oils, herbs and spices.
The event will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27 at Magellan’s on Main Street in Waukesha.
All proceeds from the event will support the delivery of SHARP’s STEAM-based program to thousands of students and educators in 49 schools across Milwaukee, Racine and Waukesha.
The participating restaurants are Albanese’s Roadhouse, Club 400, Daybreak Prime Meats and Deli and Magellan’s on Main Street.
Like other Unwrapped fundraisers, SHARP is bringing a partnership donation component to the Waukesha Edition event. Guests are asked to bring non-perishable food items to Unwrapped, which will be donated to The FOOD Pantry Serving Waukesha County.
In addition to nibbling and noshing on sweet and savory bites, guests at Unwrapped Waukesha Edition will also have the opportunity to partake in a variety of raffles for themed prize baskets. Individual tickets for the event are $50 and may be purchased online here or by calling 414.410.3203.
