The newest falcons now have names.
The Peregrine falcon chicks born atop the WE Energies Valley Power Plant got their names from students at Trinity Lutheran School in Waukesha.
John Ganey's 6th grade class won a recent poster contest which earned the visit so they could watch the falcons get their banding.
The bands will allow the birds' growth to be documented in WE Energies' continuing efforts to bring back the falcon population.
On Monday one male chick was named batman and the girl chick was named eagle.
A third check is too small to be brought out into the public and named just yet.
