Watching for wet snow on Friday

All eyes are on Friday as a storm system moves in from the southwest.  Our computer models we use are starting to line up with a track; however, that hasn't fully been established.

A storm track is important to nail down snowfall totals.  Here's what we know right now.  Rain will arrive Thursday night and transition to snow away from the lake into Friday morning.  Areas west of the lake will have the best chance to pick up several inches of wet snow.  Warmer temperatures will allow for a heavier snow that could cause slushy roads.

The lakefront is very tricky with this system.  East winds will keep temperatures along the lake warmer than the surrounding areas.  More of a mix of rain and snow is expected from Milwaukee south into Kenosha.

The system will wrap-up by Friday evening and be gone for the weekend.
