Warming up for the weekend after a chilly start to November

Coming off the warmest October on record, it's been a relatively chilly start to the month of November. Most days have only topped out in the 40s, but we did warm back into the mid 50s today thanks to the sunshine and southwest wind.

That southwest wind will increase tonight into Saturday, pumping even warmer air into the state. After a few morning clouds, the southwest wind and sunshine should help temps make a run at 60 degrees! Wind will gust between 20-30 mph with the strongest gusts in the morning, but it'll still be a great day to be outside.

Temps should have no problem warming into the 60s Sunday and Monday before dropping back into the upper 50s on Tuesday as a cold front swings through the state.

That cold front may trigger a few showers Tuesday, but a better chance of rain arrives during the second half of next week. Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather to see the full 7 day forecast.
