Walworth County Drug Enforcement Unit seizes marijuana plants with street value of $500,000

WALWORTH COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Walworth County Drug Enforcement Unit eradicated an outdoor marijuana grow Thursday afternoon.

The grow was discovered in August during an aerial surveillance mission in the northern townships of the county.

The Drug Unit removed 200 plants from the grow site.

The plants had a potential street value of $500,000 according to the Drug Unit.

Police continue to investigate and attempt to identify the individual(s) responsible for the grow operation.
