Walworth Co. bus driver sentenced to 7 years in prison for sexually assaulting children

WALWORTH COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 40-year-old Elkhorn man was sentenced to seven years in prison Tuesday for crimes against children.

Matthew Gribben pleaded guilty and was convicted of three counts first-degree child sex assault -- with a person under the age of 13.

Two counts of exposing a child to harmful material were dismissed, along with another charge of first-degree child sex assault.

According to a criminal complaint, Gribben was a school bus driver in Walworth County.

It says he told investigators that when he transported children, he would occasionally touch some of the female students inappropriately, and there were two students he showed pornography to.

During another incident, the complaint said he exposed himself to a female child.

Prosecutors say the victims ranged in age from 8-11.

His prison sentence will be followed by 15 years of extended supervision and 20 years of probation.
