MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The wind and the winter weather may be flying in Milwaukee, but that is not ruining the fun scheduled to take place in Milwaukee during the month of January.
Ian Thompson of VISIT Milwaukee joined us on Wednesday, Jan. 10 to take a deeper look at the month's calendar of upcoming events.
The Villa Terrace is scheduled to host "Winterlude at the Villa" on Sunday, Jan. 14, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. This concert series features musicians Todd Levy, Madeleine Kabat and Yaniv Dinur. Attendees will experience classical pieces in the Villa's Great Hall, along with refreshments.
Turner Hall Ballroom will be the venue for the Goblin King Masquerade Ball on Friday, Jan. 12 and Saturday, Jan. 13, from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. This event, hosted by Awkward Nerd Events, includes drag shows, live performances and more.
Lakefront Brewery is gearing up for National Hot Sauce Day by scheduling "Hot Wing Trivia" on Sunday, Jan. 21. The event offers a wing and beer pairing flight, along with a hot wing trivia challenge for participants.
The Schlitz Audubon Nature Center will present "The Rhonda Jean Music Experience" on Sunday, Jan. 28, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This family-friendly event features Americana and what is billed as "hippie-style music."
