MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The first full weekend of April is looking to be stacked with events in Milwaukee. To help everyone prepare their calendars, Ian Thompson of VISIT Milwaukee joined us on Thursday, April 4 to provide a preview.

On Saturday, April 6, the iconic Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli will perform at Fiserv Forum, accompanied by the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Steven Mercurio. This concert, part of Bocelli's 2024 North American tour, coincides with the 30th anniversary of his career and his 65th birthday, with performances to begin at 7:30 p.m.

The Milwaukee Ballet will be performing Michael Pink’s rendition of "Cinderella" at the Marcus Performing Arts Center all weekend. This interpretation aims to captivate with its blend of fairy tale magic and Prokofiev’s score, featuring the Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy alongside the professional company.

SpIn Fest, a free event presented by Islands of Brilliance, invites the community to Discovery World on April 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Aimed at celebrating autistic and neurodiverse people, the festival aims to explore special interests in transportation, critters, games and media.

The inaugural Pours for Parks Beer Festival will take place on Sunday, April 7, at the Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery. This new beer fest, featuring over 20 breweries, benefits the Friends of Humboldt Park and offers attendees a chance to sample local brews while supporting Milwaukee County Parks.
