Viral Sweet Potato Pie Video Leads to Invitation to Patti LaBelle's Thanksgiving Dinner

Patti Labelle invited to her Thanksgiving Dinner the man whose tribute video to her sweet potato pies went viral.

James Wright Chanel posted videos to his page of him dancing with Labelle in her home.

“This has been the best Thanksgiving ever and it's also been the best birthday ever and I'm very very grateful,” posted Chanel.

Chanel posted a video about liking the Patti LaBelle Sweet Potato Pie on November 11.  The pie video was shared over 390,000 times.

Pies were flying off the shelves at a rate of one per second during a 72 hour period the first weekend.

It was estimated that two million pounds of California sweet potatoes are needed to keep up with the demand.
