They're calling it 'Victory Over Violence.' It was an event with food, music, and a plea from the community.
"When is it gonna stop? My brother was killed in 1991. My husband in 2005. That's over 12 years that we've been shouting stop the violence."
The two-block long event was organized by local business in and around State Street.
They're hoping to bring attention to Victory Over Violence Park and have serious discussions about how to deal with violence in the area.
