U.S. Women advance to World Cup Final

Montreal, QUEBEC--The United States Women's National Soccer Team defeated Germany 2-0, advancing to the World Cup final Tuesday evening.

Americans Carli Lloyd and Kelly O'Hara scored for the U.S. as their defense remained unscored upon during the tournament. 


Germany's Celia Sacic missed a penalty kick in the 60th minute, failing to open the scoring and missing Germany's first penalty kick in 13 attempts in the World Cup tournament.


The United States will play the winner of Japan/England in Vancouver.
