US Department of Justice to review shooting of Dontre Hamilton

The United State Department of Justice announced it will conduct a federal review of the shooting of Dontre Hamilton by Former Milwaukee Police Officer Christopher Manney.
Federal investigators from the Civil Rights Division will work to determine if there is cause to federal prosecute Manney. Manney is the focus of this investigation for the April 30 shooting of Dontre Hamilton while working as a Milwaukee police officer.
The decision to investigate comes hours after the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office decided not to charge Manney in connection with the shooting of Hamilton.
