UPDATE: Woman strangled before fatal crash near Hoyt and Leon

The Milwaukee Police have now ruled the fatal crash that happened in the 4700 block of W. Hoyt Place as a homicide.
The crash happened shortly after 1 a.m. on August 6th.
According to police, the investigation revealed that a 40-year-old woman was strangled before the crash occurred and that she died as a result of those injuries.
The driver, a 33-year-old man, is the suspect in the case and he remains in custody.
The Milwaukee Police Department will present the case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office in the coming days.
