UPDATE: Shorewood Police Arrest Two after Report of Shots Fired on Sunday

Shorewood Police Department investigated a report of shots being fired in the area of Oakland and Marion on Sunday around 8:55 PM.

According to a release by the police, the initial report was that there was six to seven loud “bangs” in the area.

Shorewood officers responded and were in the area with minutes. Officers conducted a thorough investigation which included a canvass of the area for any witnesses or any possible evidence of the alleged report.

Based upon new credible information released Wednesday, officers located the suspects and evidence. Police determined a gun was discharged during a dispute between two people and the gunshot was not a random act.

Two people have been arrested and a third suspect has been identified and a warrant has been issued for their arrest.

At this time, no one was injured and no property was damaged as a result of the gun being discharged.
